Yi Zhou is a PhD Student at Northwestern Polytechnical University. His research interests include metal droplet-based 3D printing, dynamic of metal droplet ejection and impacting, electronics packaging, construction of micro-domain shielding gas, and gas-liquid two-phase flow dynamics simulation.   • In-depth participation in experimental research during the project research. Writing and proofreading the final project report.

Micro-domain shielding gas system and experimental research of solder ball printing for 5G circuits (Innovation and Creativity Seed Fund for Master Students)
  • Responsible for the overall program design of the project. Based on the existing tin alloy ejection crucible components, combined with the equipment structure, designed an integrated opening metal droplet-based ejection coaxial shielding gas system.
  • Simulation and experiment research. Different shapes of shielding gas flow field were studied with commercial simulation software such as Fluent. The simulation results were verified by experiments.
